Temporary Full-Time Position : Summer Youth Program Worker

$13.43/hour to $15.47/hour

Primary Objectives of Position: This position exists to assist agency staff in the implementation and operation of the Summer Youth Employment Program, contacting area agencies and employers to solicit their participation as prospective worksites for summer youth clients, evaluating youth performance and documenting and reporting outcomes. Duties will be performed under direction of regular program staff.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1.  Assist with the contacting of public or private non-profit agencies and private sector employers to develop worksite for youth participants.

2.  Meet with worksite staff and supervisors to explain program and conduct supervisor orientation to program, policies and procedures.

3.  Refer youth clients to worksites as directed.

4.  Assist with organizing and conducting screening of potential youth clients.

5.  Assist staff with organizing and conducting World of Work.

6.  Conduct routine follow-up of youth clients.

7.  Conduct monitoring visits and completes monitoring forms.

8.  Compile data and create a summary report of program activities and accomplishments to be submitted to Team Leader.

9.  Follow all agency policies and procedures including mandatory reporting requirements.

Qualifications:     Must be able to relate well to youth and to work in a team environment. Must provide own transportation. No history of client abuse. Previous experience with public contact preferred.
