Parents in families on Public Assistance work with a Case Manager. The goal of MFIP is to help families achieve self-sufficiency through employment. Participants will work with the Case Manager to overcome barriers and find work.
There are dollars available in MFIP to help people upgrade skills or learn new skills. This could be done through computer training, boiler operator’s training, CAN training or other types of short term courses
CEP offers workshops for budgeting called “Money Matters” and to learn to be a good renter called “RentWise”. These are designed to make the path to self-sufficiency smoother. |
